This week’s #documentfamilyfriday has a bit of a theme: travel. Most specifically, packing. We are preparing to fly to Florida tomorrow to visit my husband’s sister and her family and I’ve been busily packing for four. I couldn’t help but laugh and think about how much easier things were when I was only responsible for myself. I could fit two weeks worth of supplies into one carryon bag. Ha! Times have sure changed. I am finally seeing the light at the end of the packing tunnel and so excited to get on the road. We haven’t been able to visit with them in a few years (too long!) so we are super excited for the week ahead.
Poor baby dude had a pretty gnarly faceplant in the garage this week. We are still cautiously waiting to be sure all is well and no further damage to his teeth.
Aftermath of a midweek tea party.
I think it’s safe to say I’m becoming a crazy plant lady.
The guest bedroom has been overtaken by our laundry struggle as I sort through and pack for the week. Hey, at least it’s clean, right? That’s what I’m telling myself anyway.
Layla’s strict instructions to grandma and grandpa for taking care of her stuffed animals and fingerlings while we are gone. Brush? Check. Feed? Check. Drink? Check. Nap? Check. Dinner? Check. Poo and pee? Check, check.
