Bubbles, bugs, and bumble bees… summer time with my girl

Sometimes on warm summer days it’s necessary to give in to the impulse to dress up your three year old in a cutie pie outfit and traipse into the weeds.  These were taken in about 20 minutes in our backyard. I’ve been eying these purple stalks for a while now, and when we finally got out there I realized how tall they’ve actually grown! Between dodging honey bees, spying white fluttering moths, blowing countless bubbles, singing songs, and fishing dozens of crickets out from under her tulle skirt, we had a pretty good time. I absolutely love photographing this girl as she grows.
